THE POTATO VIRUS SPECIALTY CROP RESEARCH INITIATIVE (SCRI) GROUP DEBUTS POTATO VIRUS INITIATIVE NEWSLETTER

The Potato Virus SCRI initiative Group is debuting their Annual Potato Virus Initiative Newsletter to help keep the potato industry apprised of research. Across the nation more than 25 researchers, Extension professionals, and seed certification programs are developing solutions through collaboration on the Potato Virus Initiative. The newsletter is aimed at informing the industry on the research results regarding Potato Virus Y (PVY) and Potato Mop Top Virus (PMTV) detection methods, new strategies for virus management, and potato breeding aimed at developing PVY and PMTV resistance in new varieties.
