Mashed Potato Bar
Mashed Potatoes
  1. Place potatoes in large stockpot; pour in enough salted cold water to cover potatoes. Bring to boil and reduce heat to medium; cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until fork-tender. Drain well.
  2. Return empty pan to stovetop; set over medium-low heat. Add milk, butter, salt, pepper and nutmeg to pan. Add potatoes; mash with potato masher or electric mixer until fluffy and smooth. Keep warm for service. Makes 4 quarts.
Toppings Bar
  1. Meanwhile, arrange chicken, broccoli, tomatoes, corn, cheese, mushrooms and bacon in self-serve containers at self-serve bar.
  2. Serve portion of mashed potatoes (2/3 cup/7.3 oz per serving) in bowl. Instruct customer to add self-serve toppings from bar
  3. Tip: Make sure to drain potatoes well. It will help to make them light and fluffy.
