Dips For Your 10,001 Bags of Chips

Here are some recipes for potato chip dips that you can use to celebrate National Potato Chip Day (March 14th) with. After all you may want to use these at the party you will throw after you win our giveaway of 10,001 bags of potato chips. You might want to double the recipes though!

Spinach Dip

1 ½ lbs frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained

1 lbs. dairy sour cream

1/2 qt. low-fat mayonnaise

2 – 8 oz. cans water chestnuts, drained and chopped

½ cup onion, finely chopped

2 oz. ranch dressing mix

If necessary, place spinach in several layers of cheesecloth to squeeze out excess liquid. Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Nutritional Analysis per serving: 215 calories, 3.2 g protein, 15.9 g fat, (64% calories from fat), 16.5 g carbohydrates, 26 mg cholesterol, 3.1 g fiber, 593 mg sodium.


Salsa Dip

½ cup Cilantro, chopped

38 oz. prepared salsa

2 avocado, diced

1 cup green onions, chopped

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Nutritional Analysis per serving: 50 calories, 1.8 g protein,2.2 g fat, (35% of calories from fat), 7.7 g carbohydrates, 0.0 mg cholesterol, 3.2 g fiber, 337 mg sodium.


Feta Kalamata Dip

2 lbs. Light Cream Cheese

1 cup milk

1 lbs. Feta cheese, crumbled

1 cup Kalamata or ripe olives, pitted, drained, sliced

½ cup green onions, chopped

4 Tablespoon dried parsley flakes

1 Tablespoon dried oregano leaves, crumbled

Whip cream cheese and milk until light and fluffy. Add feta cheese; mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix until blended.

Nutritional Analysis per serving: 252 calories, 14.4 g protein, 18.3 g fat, (66% of calories from fat), 6.8 g carbohydrates, 62 mg cholesterol, 0.4 g fiber, 906 mg sodium.
