National French Fry Day

This week people across the country celebrated National French Fry Day (July 13).  Could there be a better holiday? However, as the nation celebrated their love for french fries on social media and beyond most people don’t realize that Washington state leads the nation in french fry production.


Each about 87% of Washington potato crop is processed and the majority of those processed potatoes are cut into America’s favorite side dish.  To learn how french fries make it from the field as potatoes to your plate watch our “Life of a French Fry” video.
